Paul Davis named 2017 Best Places to Work in Virginia

Manassas, Va. – December 5, 2016  – Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Suburban Virginia has been named one of 2017’s Best places to Work in Virginia by the statewide publication, Virginia Business. Khrystyna Mysiuga, Paul Davis’ Director of Talent Acquisition coordinated the effort with management and staff at the locally-owned restoration firm. The company was ranked and recognized in the small employer category of up to 99 employees. Results were based on responses to an internal employee engagement and satisfaction survey. The honor identifies areas in which the company is doing well and where there are opportunities to improve along with employee comments and statewide benchmarking data.

The local business campaign started in September and is sponsored by Virginia Business, and its Best Places to Work partners, the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Virginia Society for Human Resource.

Virginia Business parent company, Best Companies Group recently conducted the recognition assessment as a two-part process designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, Paul Davis management completed an employer benefit and policies questionnaire about company policies, practices, and demographics. And, in part two, employees completed the employee engagement and satisfaction survey which included approximately 78 statements that employees respond to on a five point agreement scale along with two, open-ended questions and seven demographic questions.

The results are analyzed and categorized according to eight core focus areas including leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, pay and benefits and overall engagement. Collected information from the two instruments was combined to produce a detailed set of data enabling competition analysts to determine the strengths and opportunities of participating companies. An event to honor the winning businesses and rankings announcements will be held in February.
